Weekly Update January 26
Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

Our artist in residency week was an amazing celebration of learning and creativity! I would like to extend a special thank you to all of the parents and family members who volunteered their time to help put together the amazing mosaics. The six mosaic panels will be grouted on Monday by fifth graders and then installed in the school cafeteria on Tuesday afternoon.

Our grand unveiling ceremony will take place in the Day School cafeteria on Wednesday morning, January 31 @8:30AM. Student senators Emma Egan, Sarah Haley and Ian Skinner have been selected to speak about what they learned, what they liked best, and the impact the project has had for the Day School community. We will have a special slide show of pictures of the artist in residency week accompanied by a special musical composition. This will also be an opportunity to thank our artist in residence, Lizz Van Saun, for all of her hard work with the students.

We would love to have you join us for the unveiling ceremony on Wednesday morning. If you are not able to make it, please stop by the Day School at any time to see this beautiful work of art in our school cafeteria. We know you will be impressed by this collaborative effort of students, staff, and families.

Sincerely,

Chris Louis Sardella, Principal
Norman E. Day Elementary School
